Chess Cards is a strategy game that brings together 10 different chess systems and two distinct ways to play.

Choose your chess variants, build your match around their unique pieces and rules, then adapt as the game evolves. In Tarot Mode, every turn can be reshaped by powerful cards that move pieces, revive fallen units, alter abilities, or even transform pieces into equivalents from another chess system.

Despite all the chaos, the objective remains simple:

Capture the enemy King.

• 2 card modes: Tarot Mode introduces a full Tarot deck with game-changing effects, while Classic Mode focuses on the chess systems themselves without Tarot cards.
• 78 Tarot cards, including the 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana, each with gameplay effects.
• Dynamic chess-system conversion: pieces can transform into equivalent roles from other chess systems, gaining completely different movement and abilities.

How to Play

Choose the chess systems you want to include and select a starting variant.

Tarot Mode

Draw and play Tarot cards to determine special actions and alter the state of the game.

Cards can affect movement, revival, captures, piece abilities, and even the chess system that individual pieces follow.

Classic Mode

Play without Tarot cards and focus directly on the movement rules and interactions between the selected chess systems.

Every system introduces different pieces and mechanics, so changing or combining variants can completely alter the way a position plays.
